In the previous article, we introduced the basics of building an image-to-image workflow. Now, let’s walk through a practical example—converting a real photo into anime style.

Step 1: Select the Model

Since our goal is anime-style generation, we need a model specialized for anime.

In the Checkpoint Loader, select: meinamix_meinaV11.safetensors

Step 2: Upload the Reference Image

In the Load Image node, click “choose file to upload.”

Select the real-life photo you prepared (this example uses a cat's photo).

💡 Tip: Use clear, well-lit images for the best results.

Step 3: Enter Prompts

Prompts guide the generation process. They should describe both content and style.

Positive Prompt (example):

anime style, masterpiece, best quality, cute cat, orange tabby cat, wearing yellow hat, wearing blue scarf, driving car, holding steering wheel, inside car, countryside road, dirt road, yellow flower fields, rapeseed flowers, blue sky, white fluffy clouds, scenic background, summer, wide landscape, forest in distance, cozy atmosphere, vibrant colors

Negative Prompt (example):

lowres, text, error, extra digit, fewer digits, cropped, worst quality, low quality, normal quality, jpeg

Step 4: Configure the Sampler

Set the key parameters in the K Sampler:

Seed: 0
After Running: Random
Steps: 25
CFG: 7
Sampler: dpmpp_2m
Scheduler: karras
Denoise: 0.6

Step 5: Generate and Save the Image

Click “Add Prompt Queue” to start generating.

In the Preview Image node, right-click and choose “Save Image.”

Results and Notes

With this workflow, you can successfully convert real photos into anime style. Keep in mind:

Size: Output matches the input resolution.
Clarity: Results may be slightly blurry.
Details: Expressions and poses may change a little.

These issues can be improved later with upscaling workflows or ControlNet.

Experiment: Different photos may require different prompts or parameters.
Practice: Try several runs to find the best settings.
Save: Keep successful workflows for reuse.
